In a small town about 2 hours south of Tegucigalpa, Honduras… there are two fascinating individuals who have left the comforts of their US upbringing to raise an incredible family that seems to grow daily. In the mid 2000’s Jacob and Melody Cherian found their hearts being pulled to follow a road, that ended in opening an orphanage in Honduras. This beautiful couple very quickly found their family grow from 5 to 10 to over 20 gregarious, curious, humorous, and adorable children. I personally have never seen two people genuinely give all of themselves to so many children at once. Every single child owns a heart filled with love, given to them from the Cherians. Honduras has an epidemic of parentless children, and if it wasn’t for the work of families like the Cherians, the landscape would be even more grim.
